This multiplication and division math project is perfect for engaging gifted and talented students, offering choice, and extending thinking. Students will enjoy designing a resort in this project-based learning math activity. It takes them deeper as they solve multi-step problems involving multiplication and division. In this challenge, students will design a vacation resort, think mathematically, and create an advertisement to showcase their work.

My 4th-grade students completed this project at the end of our multiplication and division unit. It involves a balance of creativity and interest along with real-world problems. I have also given this independent project to gifted students as an extension activity.
