✋ How do I use the Excel file to create my own dot marker worksheets?
Use any list of words, student names, or even math expressions. Paste your list into the yellow column. It will automatically create a worksheet by filling in each circle with a term from your list. All of the formulas have been locked in place (although you are welcome to "unprotect" the sheets and make changes if needed).
✋ What subjects and grade levels will benefit from this resource?
Primary grades often use dot markers for do a dot worksheets and dot it activities. However, I have created worksheets using this Excel spreadsheet to use with my 4th graders as well. During a geography lesson, I typed the counties from our state and one county from a different state. Students had to find the county that didn’t belong! You could also fill the dots with math expressions and have students mark dots that have equal value with the same color.
