Incorporate summer math activities and crafts into your end-of-year lessons with holiday banners. These practice worksheets help students review key grade-level concepts. They can color the decorations on each page and solve math problems. Differentiate by choosing one, two, or all three of the banners. The additional “Fun Activity” pennant is great for early finishers or as a reward for solving math problems correctly.

✋ How involved is this holiday math banner craft?

  • You have lots of flexibility! Students can complete the math problems on each banner. Then, they can color the summer clipart and attach the banners together. Staple the edges like a book, compile using a metal ring in the corner, or tape to yarn to hang on the wall.
  • The banners print on 8.5” x 11” paper. You can choose to include all 5 student pennants, plus blank/lined pennants, or simplify this activity by using only a few.

✋ How can I use the PowerPoint file?

  • Project or share digitally with your students.
  • Add your own math problems to the blank banners or type a holiday writing prompt on the lined pennant.

✋ Can I share this to Google Classroom?

  • Yes! If celebrating summer in a virtual classroom, assign to all students using TPT Easel. It integrates with all classrooms (Google & Non-Google Schools) with a special link.
