✋ What is Scuba Club?
After reading From Snorkelers to Scuba Divers in the Elementary Science Classroom: Strategies and Lessons That Move Students Toward Deeper Learning I continued thinking about the difference between snorkeling and scuba diving in my classroom. I wanted to provide students with opportunities to deepen their learning. This scuba kit is the perfect year-long challenge for 3rd-5th graders, especially “Fast Finishers” and Gifted and Talented students.

✋ How do you organize these papers?
I print a set at the beginning of the school year. Then, I hang them in a filing cabinet. I teach students expectations for using the filing cabinet, choosing a challenge, and working on it until it was complete. You can use these solely for enrichment and choose not to grade each activity to save time.
